TD donates $150,000 over three years to Artscan Circle in support of creative art workshops in northern Indigenous Communities.

We would like to thank TD Bank Group (TD) for donating $150,000 over three years through the TD Ready Commitment, the Bank's corporate citizenship platform, to support creative art workshops in remote, northern Indigenous communities across Canada.

Through the TD Ready Commitment, TD is supporting arts and culture experiences and initiatives that foster shared connections while amplifying diverse voices and perspectives. To help create the conditions so everyone has the chance to succeed in a changing world, TD is targeting C$1 billion by 2030 towards community giving across four interconnected areas that support change, nurture progress and contribute to creating a more sustainable and inclusive future.

TD has been a strong supporter of Artscan Circle for almost a decade. Within the last three years, TD has increased their funding substantially, and we’re so grateful for their support, as the communities we serve are underfunded. Artscan Circle’s Executive Director Laura Vukson writes, “TD has been instrumental in supporting Artscan Circle’s Music Program in Pikangikum. I was deeply moved by how TD Community Banking Manager, Lee Rose, jumped on board immediately when we expressed the desire to get a piano up to the community. Not only did TD purchase the brand-new Yamaha piano, but they also covered the cost to fly it to the community and ensured it arrived in time to celebrate National Indigenous History Month."

Thanks to TD, we now have the resources to continue our next projects, similar to those in Pikangikum, and to expand to other communities across the North.
